Meinl 18" Byzance Foundry Reserve Crash 1360g

Rich, demanding crash. If you're looking for a strong-natured crash with depth to space, you've found what you're looking for. The MEINL Foundry reserve crash reacts to the impact extremely dynamically, and its tone is generally dark, effervescent and very complex. The sound also fades out in a pleasant way: it is medium long but fades out with a very even curve.

Each Foundry Reserve cymbal is hand-forged and therefore always unique, which is why we divide the cymbals in the series according to their individual weight. The mass of the cymbal certainly has an effect on the sound, but in the case of crashes, the biggest effect is how a lighter cymbal "crashes" with a lighter impact.
