A thoughtful guitar with a nice finish
The Schecter C-1 SLS Elite is a well-finished and well-thought-out guitar with no frills. Its compensated Ernie Ball saddle, locking tuning mechanisms and Hipshot Hardtail stand tell of a functional whole. Fishman Fluence microphones work with push-pull potentiometers so that in the lower position the sound is a normal humbucker sound, in the upper position the sound is closer to a single-coil, although without the hum of half-coil, when it comes to active electronics. The neck thru construction and neck placement that guarantees smooth access to the upper frets ensure that solos also sound and there is enough sustain.
The Schecter C-1 SLS Elite is a good-looking guitar with a warp maple top, side moldings and backstrips of three types of wood running from the top through the body.
