Schecter Solo-II Custom GNAT – interpretation of the LP model guitar
The Schecter Solo-II Custom GNAT is Schecter's interpretation of the LP model guitar, and it is a very impressive looking interpretation. The mahogany frame has been given a curved Burl cover, where the specially grown wood really comes into its own, especially when it is covered with a colorless glossy varnish. The white multi-layered fretboard and three-piece mahogany neck are in the middle of tradition. Hard ebony fingerboard and 12" - 16" variable fingerboard radius again modern thinking
The scale is the familiar 24.75″ and the neck profile is a thin C. The saddle is compensated to achieve better fine tuning, and X-jumbo frets 22. The bridge and its stopbar are traditional Tune-o-Matics. Grip Tip – the potentiometers literally invite you to rotate the volume level while playing.
The microphones are Schecter's signature. Schecter's USA Pasadena is the microphone in the neck and Schecter's USA Pasadena Plus is on the sole, which take the traditional humbucker sound a little wider than you're used to, both in tenacity and treble. The neck microphone offers treble and bite, while the Plus microphone in the sole gives the necessary kick to the whole sound.
