The Ibanez EHB1005 is a short-scale version of the EHB Multi Scale bass. The 30" scale makes the bass easy to play even for shorter players. It is balanced in the lap, it plays well and is light in weight. The typical Ibanez neck profile also suits modern bass playing extremely well. This is a rare easy and versatile bass. The name EHB is short for Electric Headless Bass. Many of them are made in multi-scale style, where the scale is longer on lower strings and thus the tension on the strings is also higher.

The design of EHB basses is based on ergonomics. "Headless" design may seem pointless, but it balances the distribution of the weight of the bass. So the bass remains balanced whether you play it sitting or standing. The body of EHB basses is also designed for comfort.

The body is rounded in strategic places and its rear part is slanted from the middle. It's also hollowed out from the inside. This strengthens the acoustic sound and of course reduces the weight of the instrument.
